Ukraine needs introduction of automated customs system, which will allow channeling additional UAH 40 billion to the State Budget of Ukraine starting second half of 2016.

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this on the 112 Ukraina TV channel on Thursday.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that as against the international practice, Ukraine has not yet introduced an automated system of risk analysis and management. The introduction of respective system will allow removing the human factor and considerably raise revenues of the state budget.

"In words of the experts, if the system is introduced, which will take about 2-3 months, the revenues from the customs sector are likely to be raised by 30-50%," Groysman said.

Groysman gave an example of the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine which makes up UAH 250 billion at the deficit of UAH 80 billion. In compliance with the State Budget of Ukraine for 2016, the revenues from the Ukrainian customs sector are expected to be UAH 217 billion.

"These are very precise clear steps destined to give rapid result," Groysman noted.
